DEMOCRACY

a democratic performance

in a democracy the poor will have more power than the rich, because there are more of them, and the will of the majority is supreme.

(ARISTOTLE)

the best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter.

(WINSTON CHURCHILL)

DEMOCRACY is an interactive performance reflecting on the democractic system with its benefits and challenges. the performance deals with the democratic decision process: all audience members have a control panel and can democratically vote what they want to be happening on stage as well as voice their opinions.

the cast of a politician, a political scientist, a journalist and a child share their everyday work, their values and their democratic experiences and reflect on democracy as a system in history and present.
